This lady has meant the world to me and I know that many others have been touched by her and she will forever live on in our hearts. I know Mawmaw is watching over us and is loving heaven. No more pain, just peaceful walks in Heaven’s gardens. She deserves it. She was an amazing lady and I love her with every inch of me!

As a Guardian ad Litem here in Brunswick County I had the privilege of working with Becky as she took in so many of our foster kids. She never learned how to say “no” when there was another child who needed her–especially the babies. She was truly an exceptional lady who touched and influenced so many lives. We are all richer for knowing her.

Becky was a truly remarkable person, who will be missed so much by so many people! When I worked at the Brunswick County Health Department, I was always so inspired by her dedication to infants and children, which I know came from her love of God, through Christ!

I am so sorry for your loss. Ms. Barnes was one of the first babysitters that I was taken to when I was young. I also remember Julie and Larry. Larry was introduced to the insurance business by my Dad( Thomas Southerland). Just know that she is no longer suffering and that we will surely see her in heaven one day. I pray that God will comfort you in this very difficult time.
