Mrs. Almeta Fulford Chavis – Supply

Mrs. Almeta Fulford Chavis age 86 of Holden Beach Causeway, Supply died Wednesday March 3, 2010 at her home.

Mrs. Chavis was born in Brunswick County on February 18, 1924 and was the daughter of the late John E. and Ada Bellamy Fulford. She was preceded in death by her husband Jessie Chavis and a daughter, Angela Kay Chavis and a son in-law Rudolph Wilson of Bladen County. She was a faithful  member of Sharon United Methodist Church.

She is survived by three daughters, Wanda Cobb and husband Mick of Concord, Carolyn Wilson Stout and husband Randy of Ash, Janet Brown and husband James of Supply; five grandchildren, Lynn Hayes, Jamie Wilson, Tabitha Patrick, Nicole Brown, James Brown III; six great grandchildren, Hunter, Fisher, Nick, Autumn, Brady, Peyton; a sister, Lucy Bowling of Supply

Funeral services will be held Sunday March 7, 2010 at 3:00 pm at Sharon United Methodist Church with Pastor Eddie Hill officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Laten Reaves, Scott Brown, Ricky Chavis, Jerome Walker, Billy Lancaster, Van Fulford.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 Saturday evening at Sharon United Methodist Church and other times from the home of James and Janet Brown 950 Stone Chimney Road, Supply

The family would like to give a very special thanks to the staff of Liberty Hospice and Pastor Eddie Hill and her two caregivers, Bridgette Arnold and Diane Haskin for all the love and support during this difficult time.

To Carolyn, Janet and Wanda, You and the family are in our prayers. I know your loss is great, but Heaven is rejoiceing at her arrival. I met her and your dad at Donita’s years ago and I feel as if my life was blessed to have known her and to love her and know she loved me. We had some good times at the beauty shop that I will cherish forever. We love you and will be thinkging about you.

Carolyn, Janet, and all, I was very sorry to hear about your mother’s passing. My prayers and thoughts are with you. I know she will be missed dearly, but, thank God for the good memories you have to cherish.
