Gomalie “Mae” Snyder, 85, of Southport died Thursday, February 4, 2010 at her residence.
Mrs. Snyder was born in Johnston County on March 19, 1924, the daughter of the late Frank Moore and Nellie Moore. She was preceded in death by a son Larry Wayne Matthews, two brothers, three sisters, and one grandson.
Survivors include a son Billie Ray Lewis of Belmont; four daughters Deborah Bonvouloir, and Debra Chubb both of Oak Island, Linda Snyder of High Point, and Renee Baldiga of Southport; one brother Doug Moore of Erwin; two sisters Eloise Morris and Louise Crawford both of Erwin; eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Saturday, February 6, 2010 at the chapel of Peacock-Newnam & White Funeral Service in Southport. Burial will follow in Cape Fear Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

My heart goes out to Jane Crisco’s family.I have known Jane (Maw Maw) for around 8 years and she was a beautiful woman who treated me as one of her own. I love her very much and she will be greatly missed. Love always, Dawn
