Mr. Edward “Teddy” Ellis age 59 of Scotland died Sunday January 31, 2010 while visiting with his sister. He was loved much by all and will be greatly missed.
Teddy was born in Scotland , United Kingdom on September 6, 1950 and was the son of the late Dennis and Margaret Rooney Ellis.
He is survived by three sisters, Susan Divers and husband Jerry, Linda Downie and husband Brian all of Scotland and Greta Wood and husband Mike of Shallotte; several nieces and nephews from Scotland, England, Australia , Canada and the United States.
Funeral services will be Wednesday February 3, 2010 at 1pm at The Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints, Shallotte Ward.
Burial will follow in the Mintz Cemetery, Shallotte
The family will receive friends one hour before the funeral service at the church.

Dear Teddy,
I never did say thanks for the e-mails you sent me over the years when you visited Greta, it helps the sadness to know you were with a loving family when God decided it was your time to go, and I know your daddy, mammy, Jim and Pat will be waiting for you on the other side. You will be missed dearly by Greta & Mike and their lovely family which you became part of, also your sisters Linda and Susan and their families in Scotland who never got to say goodbye to a kind brother, and, being the quiet, thoughtful, decent person you were, at the same being witty with a great sense for humour, you will have many people asking why?
As Greta said to me today “Christmas won’t be the same again without Teddy”!
My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sad time.
Teddy, Farewell dear Friend it was a pleasure knowing you.
Rest in Peace in the country you were happy in….
