Mr. Perry Scott Brittain age 44 of 1950 Midway Road, Bolivia died Saturday November 28, 2009 in Okeechobee, Florida.
Mr. Brittain was born in Southport, NC on May 1, 1965 and was the son of Hubert and Lois Richardson Brittain of the home. Perry was a Pipe Fitter. He was an avid NASCAR fan and especially Bobby Allison and his family. Perry loved and lived life to the fullest and was loved by his daughter, parents, brother, sister, nieces and nephew and many special friends.
Survivors in addition to his parents are his daughter, Brittany Lee Brittain of Wooster, Ohio; brother, Allen Brittain and wife Cindy of Southport; sister, Meleta Humbert and husband Glenn of Shallotte; maternal grandmother, Ruth Richardson of Bolivia; very dear friend and companion, Heather Fisher of Okeechobee, Florida; former spouse and friend, Delinda Tanger of Temperance, Michigan; four nieces, Maranda, Katelyn, Morgan, Maddi and a nephew, Alex; numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday December 3, 2009 at 2 pm at Antioch Baptist Church with Reverend Monroe Cooke and Reverend Anthony Clemmons officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the home of Hubert and Lois Brittain, 1950 Midway Road, Bolivia and also one hour prior the funeral service at the church.
Mr. Brittain will lie in state at Peacock-Newnam & White Funeral Service, 1411 N. Howe Street, Southport.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Antioch Baptist Church, Shriner’s Children Hospital, or Breast Cancer Research.

My condolences to the Brittain family for thier loss. Perry and I played football together in high school and had many other experiences together growing up. He was one that could always make you smile and laugh. He will be missed.

Thoughts and prayers to Perry’s Family and Friends. My memories of Perry are of a young man with Delinda and Brittany as a baby. So sad to hear of his passing. So sorry for the loss and pain that his loved ones must feel.

From even before little league football through high school, I hold many fond memories of Perry. He was a terrific guy and such a fun friend. I am so sorry for your loss. As his classmates are reconnecting with each other, we will truly miss him.
