Mrs. Dorothy Mae Hart age 79 of Supply formerly of Charlotte died Sunday November 8, 2009 at her home.
Mrs. Hart was born in Lincoln County, NC on January 3, 1930 and was the daughter of the late Hugh and Monnie Queen Ward. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Hart Sr. in 2006. She retired from Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte.
She is survived by her son, Jimmy Hart and fiancée Patricia Deaton of Supply; two granddaughters, Sonya Hart and Fonda Hart of Charlotte; a great grandson, Tristen Hart. She is also survived by step grandchildren Christopher Oliver, Ashley Garner, Candy Beveridge, Angel Allman, step great grandchildren Samantha, Danielle, and Riley; two brothers, Bruce Ward and Buck Ward of Lincolnton, NC; two sisters, Marilyn Gray of Lincolnton, NC, Sharleine Efird of Concord, NC.
A memorial service will be held Friday November 13, 2009 at 11am at the chapel of Peacock-Newnam & White Funeral Service, 1411 N. Howe Street, Southport with Reverend Charles Drew officiating.
